ADULT QUINTET (NOGI) - March 6TH

3-MAN (550LB) MALE ADULT SUBMISSION ONLY QUINTET: 

COST:

Normal Registration Period: $60.00 per competitor 

Late Registration Period: $80.00 per competitor

DETAILS:

Rules: No slams. No reaping. No Heel Hooks. (Kneebar & Toehold OK)

Skill Level: Adult Beginner/Intermediate (White-Purple Belt)

Format: 3 Man Teams - Round Robin Submission Only Quintet

HOW QUINTET WORKS:

Each team will present a Team lineup 1-3.

Winner of the first matchup stays in to face the next competitor from the opposing team.

In the event of a Draw, both fighters are eliminated.

In the event that both teams are down to their last fighters with the match ending in a draw, both teams will reflect a Draw on their record for that round. 

Example: “(0-0-1)”

HOW TO WIN: 

Team Champions & Medalists are determined by Most Team Victories (not individual wins). 

TIE BREAKER: In the event of a tie between Team's records, the Team with the most combined wins by Submission for the event will determine the victor.

Example: *5 teams Registered for Quintet* 

"1st Place - Team A (4-0) as a team

2nd Place - Team B (3-1) as a team

3rd Place - Team C (2-2) as a team

etc..."

WEIGHT LIMITS:

Adult Teams are comprised of 3 competitors with a maximum combined Team weight of 550lbs.

Teams may mix and match their own competitors weights to form a team that combines up-to 550lbs.

TIME LIMITS:

1X6min round or 1X4min round*

*(in case of 25+lb weight difference between competitors, matches will be shortened to 4min in length.)*

YOUTH DUALS (NOGI) - March 7th

5-KID 12 & UNDER YOUTH DUALS: 

COST:

Normal Registration Period: $250.00 per team

Late Registration Period: $350.00 per team

DETAILS:

Skill Level: Beginners/Intermediate (White-Yellow Belt)

Age: 12U competitors and under

Format: Youth Team Round Robin format for all competitors in the same weight classes.

HOW YOUTH DUELS WORK:

Each weight class will be divided and competitors will compete round robin against everyone in their respective weight categories. This is a points based event for Youth Grapplers, a detailed list of rules/scoring available here: https://www.nuwayjiujitsu.com/rules

Victory by submission: 3 team points

Victory by points: 2 team points

Draw: 1 team point

HOW TO WIN:

Team Champions & Medalists are determined by Most Team Points (overall). In the event of a tie between 2 or more teams, the Team with the most combined wins by Submission for the event will determine the victor.

Example: *5 teams Registered for Youth Duels* 

"1st Place - Team A (48 points)

2nd Place - Team B (44 points)

3rd Place - Team C (41 points)

WEIGHT LIMITS:

Kids teams are comprised of five, 12 & Under competitors in the following weight classes:

85, 90, 95, 107, 115.

***Kids will NOT be allowed to compete outside of their qualified weight classes per our Event’s safety protocol. All competitors are guaranteed as many matches as there are teams.***

TIME LIMITS: 

All matches are 4min in length.
