DIVISIONS: MEN'S ADULT INTERMEDIATE, WOMEN'S ADULT INTERMEDIATE, MEN'S ADULT EXPERT DIVISION. 

Skill Level:

Adult Intermediate Rules (White-Purple Belt)

(no reaping, no heel hooks)

Adult Expert Rules (Purple-Black Belt).

(all subs legal, no slams)

Format: 3 Person Teams - Round Robin Submission Only Team Duels

(Round Robin - All teams will face each other 1 time)

HOW QUINTET TEAM DUELS WORKS:

Each team will present a Team lineup 1-3.

Winner of the first matchup stays in to face the next competitor from the opposing team.

In the event of a Draw, both fighters are eliminated.

In the event that both teams are down to their last fighters with the match ending in a draw, both teams will reflect a Draw on their record for that round. 

Example: “(0-0-1)”

HOW TO WIN: 

Team Champions & Medalists are determined by Most Team Victories (not individual wins). In the event of a tie between Team's records, the Team with the most combined wins by Submission for the event will determine the victor.

Example: *5 teams Registered for Team Duels* 

"1st Place - Team A (4-0) as a team

2nd Place - Team B (3-1) as a team

3rd Place - Team C (2-2) as a team

etc..."

WEIGHT LIMITS:

Adult Male Teams are comprised of 3 competitors with a maximum combined Team weight of 550lbs.

Adult Female Teams are comprised of 3 competitors with a maximum combined Team weight of 475lbs.

Teams may mix and match their own competitors weights to form a team that combines up-to 550lbs (Men) & 475lbs (Women).

TIME LIMITS:

1X6min round or 1X4min round*

*(in case of 25+lb weight difference between competitors, matches will be shortened to 4min in length.)*

Skill Level: Beginners/Intermediate (White-Yellow Belt, BOYS & GIRLS COMBINED)

Age: 9-12U competitors

Format: Youth Team Round Robin format for all competitors in the same weight classes.

HOW YOUTH DUaLS WORK:

Each weight class will be divided and competitors will compete round robin against everyone in their respective weight categories. This is a points based event for Youth Grapplers, a detailed list of rules/scoring available here: https://www.nuwayjiujitsu.com/rules

Victory by submission: 3 team points

Victory by points: 2 team points

Draw: 1 team point

HOW TO WIN:

Team Champions & Medalists are determined by Most Team Points (overall). In the event of a tie between 2 or more teams, the Team with the most combined wins by Submission for the event will determine the victor.

WEIGHT LIMITS:

Kids teams are comprised of three, 9-12U competitors in the following weight classes:

95, 105, 115.

***Kids will NOT be allowed to compete outside of their qualified weight classes per our Event’s safety protocol. All competitors are guaranteed as many matches as there are teams.***

TIME LIMITS: 

All KIDS/TEENS YOUTH DUELS matches are 4min in length.
