3-PERSON YOUTH TEAM MODIFIED-QUINTET:

The Youth Team Tournament begins following completion of the Adult Team Divisions.

FEES: 

$90.00 per teammate

Athletes who compete in the Team event can compete in one or both the Individual Open Gi & No-Gi Tournament(s) for an additional $45.00. The discount will be applied upon checkout. 

TEAM TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Youth 3-Person Modified Quintet is a point-based, round-robin format team tournament where each team picks their own line-up and goes head-to-head with every other team in the bracket.

Interestingly, "Quintet" rulesets call for a "winner-stays-on" format. If the first person on your team line-up beats the first person on the other team, your teammate remains on the mat until a draw or loss. 

WEIGHT CLASSES

Modified Quintet adopts a "Team Weight" structure. 

13 & Under Team Weight Limit: 340lbs

10 & Under Team Weight Limit: 250lbs

YOUTH TEAM DIVISIONS

Beginners/Intermediate (White-Yellow Belt, BOYS & GIRLS COMBINED)

Each team will present a Team lineup (Competitors 1-3) several days before the event. 

YOUTH DIVISION BASIC RULESET:

Team Champions & Medalists are determined by Most Team Victories (not individual wins). 

In the event of a draw...

Each weight class will be divided and competitors will compete round robin against everyone in their respective weight categories. This is a points based event for Youth Grapplers.

Victory by submission: 3 team points

Victory by points: 2 team points

Draw: 1 team point

HOW TO WIN:

Team Champions & Medalists are determined by Most Team Wins (overall). In the event of a tie between 2 or more teams, the Team with the most points scored for the event will determine the victor.
